Detox Technicians will include supervision, monitoring and documentation of participants requiring detoxification and residential services. Minimum requirements include, but not limited to, registration with CCAPP, general understanding of recovery concepts, withdrawal symptoms, experience in the field, and/or education in basic medical practices, such as knowledge of medications, side effects, and adverse reactions, measuring vitals, and documenting observation notes. Detox technician includes being a recovery advocate whose primary purpose is to supervise, support, transport, promote community self-help group participation, assist with community resources, engage participants in recovery-related activities, monitor drug and alcohol testing, and inspire participants participating in the Laguna Shores Behavioral Health Detoxification and Residential Treatment Program. Must have updated CPR/First Aid, T.B. Clearance and Health Screening Clearances.
